Electric Dreams Productions develops and produces bold, character-driven film and television — stories that move between humor and heartbreak, ambition and failure, love and loss. We believe independent film doesn't have to choose between artistic integrity and commercial vision.
We make short films, features, music videos, and branded content with the same commitment: to tell human stories with craft, intention, and emotional truth. We also support emerging creatives — because the next generation of independent cinema deserves a real runway.
"We make films about people in motion — chasing something, losing something, finding something they didn't know they were looking for."
Finise Avery is a New York-based filmmaker, writer, and producer known for character-driven storytelling and a commitment to social equity in entertainment. A member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), SAG-AFTRA, and IATSE Local 161, Finise brings experience from major studio productions alongside a deep passion for independent filmmaking.
Her directorial debut Living With Grandma has received critical acclaim across the global festival circuit, earning over 40 international awards — including Best Female Director at the Cannes World Film Festival, Best First Time Director at the Los Angeles Film Awards and London Global Film Awards, and top honors from Oniros (NYC), Rome, Athens, San Diego, and festivals across Europe, Asia, and South America. The film is currently in development as a limited series.
She is also the writer, director, and producer behind Desperately Seeking Commitment — a sharp romantic comedy recognized for its screenplay at Cannes, featuring the original song "LOVE TODAY" — and the creator of Money Town, a mockumentary series inspired by the high-stakes absurdity of the film production world.
Beyond filmmaking, Finise has built a strong career in television and film production, with hands-on experience across production accounting, payroll, AD department work, crew logistics, and set operations on major network and streaming productions including Blumhouse, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Apple TV+.
Finise is the founder of Electric Dreams Productions, an elected DGA AD/UPM Category Representative on the Focus on Women Committee (2024–2026), a board member of the Film Arts and Hearts Festival, and the founder of Reel Solidarity, a nonprofit focused on expanding equity in media production.
Finise wrote both of these singles for artist Aiden Avery, released on Electric Dreams Music Entertainment in November 2025.
Finise brings deep, hands-on production experience to every project — spanning production accounting, payroll, AD paperwork, talent coordination, and set operations on major network and streaming productions.
